Cappadocia Wine Festival Tour (5 Days Tour )

DAY 1:
Full day join to the wine festival with many activities. Urgup , 20 km east of Nevsehir, is a lovely tourist center and has all the characteristics of the region. Besides this, it is the center of a wine producing region and every year in October an International Wine Festival is held

DAY 2: Heritage of Cappadocia - Full Day
Our first real encounter with Cappadocia almost Martian landscape is in the Dervent valley, a walk through the Zelve Open Air Museum is a journey into the past, After Zelve we visit Pasabag's "fairy chimneys", where the voice of the wind harmonizes with the songs of the fairies. From here we pause at Avanos centre of terracotta art. After lunch we visit the famous Göreme Open Air Museum to see the best examples of Byzantine art in Cappadocia. We complete the tour with a visit to the Uchisar Rock-Castle, giving you a panoramic view of the valleys of Cappadocia.Departure: 9:30 from your hotel. Return: 17:00

DAY 3: Tales of Cappadocia - Full Day
We start from Derinkuyu underground city which is the deepest and largest in Cappadocia. We drive to Ihlara Canyon for hiking and Then we have our lunch in the canyon. Aftrenoon We visit Selime Ancient village. On the way we also see the Agzikarahan Caravanserai, one of the Seljuks art, 13th A.D.

DAY 4: Wonders of Cappadocia - Full Day
We first visit Sinasos (Mustafa Pasa) old Greek village Then drive for Keslik Monastry to see the all parts in detail with churches. We See Taskin Pasa theological school dated to 13. A.D. Next is the Soganli Valley visit with the churches. Finally we will visit the Mazi Underground.

DAY 5: Discover Cappadocia - Half Day
We start to early morning for hiking 6 km. in the Re Valley with magnificent landscape, Cappadocia and we visit the
Village of Cavusin.

Secrets of Eastern Anatolia

DAY 1: ANKARA-CAPPADOCIA
The tour starts from the hotel or airport in Ankara. The first stop is the Mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the resting place of the founder of modern Turkey, who was responsible for revolutionizing the country, and is still revered as a great national hero. After a lunch break in Ankara Castle, we visit the Anatolian Civilizations Museum, where we can see the masterpieces of 16 different Anatolian Civilizations. After visiting the Anatolian Civilization Museum, drive to Cappadocia.
Overnight: Cappadocia.

DAY 2: CAPPADOCIA
Meet with guide and driver in the hotel, and start discovering Cappadocia's unique landscape; first stop is the highlight of Cappadocia Region, Goreme Open Air Museum to witness the living art of Christian and Byzantine history on cave churches. Then we drive to Cavusin, an old Greek village to discover the civil architecture in Cappadocia. We have lunch at a local restaurant in Avanos where has been the centre of terra-cotta art since 2000 BC. After lunch drive to Pasabagi which is called ‘Monks Valley’ to see the fascinating mushroom-shaped pinnacles. Then we drive to Devrent (Imagination Valley) to see different shapes of fairy-chimneys. Before returning to the hotel we visit the natural rock castle at Uchisar.
Overnight: Cappadocia.

DAY 3: CAPPADOCIA
Depart from your hotel, for Derinkuyu Underground city to visit the huge refugee settlement carved by early Christians. From Derinkuyu we head on to the gorgeous Ihlara Valley, the ancient Peristerema: 'Valley of Sky' along the Melendiz River. Explore the famous rock-cut churches and hike 4km through the valley. Overnight: Cappadocia.

DAY 4: CAPPADOCIA-KAHRAMANMARAS-KAHTA
Meet with guide and driver in the hotel at 08:00 am, and depart from Goreme. We visit Seljuk Turks’ Karatayhan Caravanserai on the famous Silk Road. We then drive for lunch through the Taurus Mountains, affording us the opportunity to observe the countryside and everyday life of rural Turkey. After lunch we drive to Kahramanmaras for a different experience-tasting best ice-cream in Turkey. We then drive to Kahta and check-in our hotel.
Overnight: Kahta.

DAY 5: ADIYAMAN-MT.NEMRUT-HARRAN-SANLIURFA
We depart from hotel very early in the morning and up to the Mount Nemrut. At the end of the road, we get off the van and walk twenty minutes until the summit. Here we watch the memorable sun rise between the colossal size statues and heads of the kings and Gods. We then visit Arsemia where was once the capital of the Commagene Kingdom before continue to the ancient Septimus Severus Bridge over Cendere stream, and Karakus tumulus where members of the royal family were buried. We keep driving to Sanliurfa and Harran. We visit the Ataturk Dam which is the biggest dam in the Middle East, en route. We check in the hotel in Sanliurfa and have lunch there. After lunch we visit Abraham's Cave and the Pools of Holy Carp surrounding it. We walk around oriental covered bazaar and Gumruk Han. We drive to Harran a village of Mud-Brick "beehive" houses mentioned in the book of genesis where Abraham spent the last years of his life.
Overnight: Sanliurfa.

DAY 6: SANLIURFA-MARDIN-DIYARBAKIR
We depart from Sanliurfa for Mardin. It looks spectacular with its tiered layers of houses, mansions, mosques and churches rising out of the endless, plain and clinging to a huge citadel-topped rock. In Mardin we visit the Deyrulzafran (Saffron) Monastery which is still used by the Syrian Orthodox communities. After visiting the monastery we drive to Diyarbakir.
Overnight: Diyarbakir.

DAY 7: DIYARBAKIR-VAN
We depart from Diyarbakır for Bitlis. We stop in Bitlis for photos and lunch. We then catch the ferryboat to Akdamar Island, situated in the biggest lake in Turkey, to see an exquisite example of an Armenian Church.
Overnight: Van.

DAY 8: VAN
Firs, we visit Van Castle, which is 100m high and 300m wide at the base. It was the sight of 8 Urartians temple, of which only a couple of arched niches remain. Cuneiform inscriptions on a statue based in one of the niches document the life and works of Menua, an important Urartian King. Then we continue to Cavustepe, the site of an Urartian Royal Palace, built between 764 and 735 BC. The next stop is Hosap Castle.
Overnight: Van.

DAY 9: VAN-DOGUBEYAZIT-KARS
We depart from Van for Dogubeyazit. We stop at the wonderful Muradiye Waterfall, en route. Then we head for Ishakpasa Palace, a 17th century palace set on a 200m high plateau overlooking the town.
Overnight: Kars.

DAY 10: KARS-ISTANBUL
We visit Ani which has fine examples of Armenian architecture located on the Armenian-Turkish border. Transfer to Airport for Istanbul.

DAY 1: ANKARA-CAPPADOCIA

Depart from the hotel for the Capital of Seljuk Turks Konya. Visit 11th century caravanserai, Sultanhani, which is the most monumental examples of Seljuk Turks architecture, en route. After lunch in a local restaurant in Konya, visit the mausoleum of Mevlana, world-famous philosopher and mystic of Islam. Late afternoon, visit The Mosque of Aladdin Keykubat the great emperor of Seljuk Turks and Ince Minareli Madrasah, a kind of Islamic school which is a wooden and stone works Museum till 1956.
Overnight: Konya

DAY 6: KONYA-ANKARA

Depart from Konya for Ankara. Visit the Salt Lake, which is the second largest lake in Turkey and a saline lake occupying a huge area in the arid central plateau of Anatolia en route.
